Mossgrove Makery laser engraves and 3D prints custom pieces in Western New York — employee awards, holiday gifts for your team, client thank-yous, event prizes and branded desk pieces. We also place our retail range on consignment in independent shops. Everything is made in house, so small runs and odd requests are genuinely welcome.

Consignment
For shops. We place stock with you at no cost, you keep a share of whatever sells, and we come by to count and restock.

The split is a starting point, not a rule — it's negotiable within reason depending on volume, floor space and how much of the display you take on.
Custom work

How a custom order works
- Tell us the brief. What it's for, roughly how many, and when you need it. A rough idea is enough to start.
- We quote it. Within two working days, with a price per piece and a realistic date.
- You approve a proof. We send a mock-up of the engraving before anything is cut. Nothing gets made until you're happy with it.
- We make and deliver. Local delivery around Buffalo and WNY, or shipped. Invoiced on 30-day terms for businesses.

Questions we usually get
What's the minimum order for custom work?
One. A single retirement gift or a one-off award is a perfectly normal order here — being small is the whole advantage. Per-piece prices do come down with volume, so ask for both figures if you're deciding between five and fifty.
How long does a custom job take?
Quote within two working days, then typically one to two weeks from artwork approval. Rush work is often possible — ask, and you'll get an honest yes or no rather than a maybe. Holiday runs need more notice: get the brief in by late November for December.
Can I see it before you make it?
Always. You get a mock-up of the engraving to approve and nothing is cut until you've signed off. If the proof isn't right, we redo it — that's part of the price, not an extra.
What artwork do you need from me?
A vector file is ideal (SVG, AI, EPS, PDF), and a high-resolution PNG with a transparent background is fine for most jobs. If all you have is the logo from your website, send it anyway — simple marks are quick to redraw, and we'll say up front if yours isn't.
Who sets the retail price on consignment?
We agree it together and write it on the stocking sheet, so neither of us changes it without the other knowing.
What happens if something doesn't sell?
We collect it on the next visit and swap it for something else. It costs you nothing — that's the point of consignment, and it's why there's no risk in trying us.
Is the 70 / 30 split fixed?
No. It's the usual starting point, and it's negotiable within reason — volume, how much floor space you're giving us, and whether you'd rather handle the display yourselves all factor in. Tell us what works for your shop and we'll talk.
Are the products safe for children?
Items are 3D printed in PLA and finished by hand. Smaller pieces aren't suitable for under-3s, and anything with magnets is labelled as such. Full details on our Product Safety & Care page.
